Every year I think about this photo and every year as the blosoms fall I think this is the year we can reacreate it, but every year it rains and ruins any chance. Well today I thought we could try even though the blosoms are not fully falling yet we went to the church yard and got the photo. If it stays fine nd the sun shines maybe we can get another with a carpet of pink again but I love it another great photo

A really lovely day weather wise although cool when the clouds covered the sun Reagan was away on a sleep over so I dropped Lincoln and Mommy off at church and went to Northwich specifically to Screwfix (my favourite shop in all the world) to get some descent 7mm masonry bits after struggling yesterday with a blunted bit, but I went in Jamie’s car so I could call into the car wash on the way. The afternoon plan was to go to the Sandbach Transport Festival because Lincoln is quite interested in World War II at the moment and wanted to see the Spitfire they had as an exhibit and he managed to get right up close and personal and loved it.
The Spitfire is the reason we speak English, just a fabulous plane!
The main dilemma today was which car would we have if we could only take on home there was Mini 1275 GT, Vauxhall Viva, Land Rover, Morris 1100, Mercs, Volvo’s, kit cars and motorbikes to name a few but the final three were
- Bentley Bentayga Speed from £190,000
- Aston Martin Vantage V12 £265,000
- RAM 1500 £47,000
Lincoln and Mommy both chose the RAM and I can see why, Lincoln sees the size and masculine look appealing and Mommy is reminded of home but I could not get over how good the Bentley looked and having read up on it when I got home I would choose it every time. The Vantage would be the second on my list because I have always thought that Aston make great sports cars but the Vantage is next level but the Bentley performance stats are on par with it which blows me away so the Bentley gets my vote.
Lincoln loved the Spitfire and said he loved today which makes the day great for me too!
Now I know where she works because I have visited both London Bridge and Harley Street so now when she goes down to London for work I have an idea where she is. Today I dropped her off Crewe station so she can travel down there for a pretty big 3 days when she will meet all the big wigs of the London Womens Clinic hierarchy for the first two days and a couple of seminars on Saturday to finish off before she comes home again.
Jamie is the greatest Mommy for us but she is also an extremely clever woman who is making waves in her chosen career and living her dream in all aspects of her life and we are her biggest supporters waiting for her to return. I think she is very proud of what she has achieved and deserves all trappings of that success so when I saw her and her friend sat in London’s West End ready to watch the musical Moulin Rouge at the Piccadilly Theatre, one of her bucket list dreams, I knew just how happy she would be feeling!
Fly high dude work hard play hard then come home to us, we’ll be waiting!
This moment happens every year around the Equinox when the sun comes out and the frosty morning air is quickly warmed giving the impression that spring has sprung and summer is on its way. To Jamie though it means we can have all our meals on a blanket on the lawn because its summer again finally…?
Just after I took this photo a cool breeze made her shiver and realise like every other year that its a couple of months premature to be sitting on the damp cold grass in a t-shirt and she went inside to fetch a jumper and finished her dinner stubbornly sat getting a cold arse?
A beaming Mommy waved a phone in my face this morning, I was on the phone working from home and she would never do that unless it was important but she was persistent and the smile was a big one so I put my call on hold….
….having scan read it and congratulated her I went back to my call and I had to wait to find out why it took less than 2 weeks not 6 months like they said?
Turns out 6 months is a possibility but if you’re application is a good one then there’s no reason to make the person wait! So barring the formality Mommy is a British Citizen just one more reason to be immensely proud of her!
As always by the time I’d finished work she’d organised a date at Crewe registry office 13 years after we were there to get married and also a meal afterwards at Crewe Hall, again a nod to 13 years ago, for a meal like our wedding day. Like I would have expected she intends to take Reagan and Lincoln out of school so we can watch her ceremony as a family and spend the day celebrating together!
Oh Happy Valentines day dude!
Lincoln’s conversation at teatime tonight was “If you could travel back in time when would you travel to?” and we had some fun with it but it got me thinking about Mommy’s and my answer compared to Reagan’s and Lincoln’s and it made me realise they have not lost anybody significant in their short lives.
Reagan would go back to Medieval times because she is learning about that at school, Lincoln would go back to when Shakespeare’s plays were being performed and watch him.
Mommy would go back to her grandparents in Wyoming and see them again a specific moment when they drove up to the house and her Grandma would be standing outside the house waiting smiling. I think because they figured so much in her childhood it was easy for her to pick that time and especially because today was the 23rd anniversary of her Grandma’s passing. I know the times Jamie spent at her Grandparents were treasured times because she talks about them often and always in a way that she wishes she could go back and experience those feelings again.
I asked if I would be allowed to take other people with me when I travelled back in time, Lincoln informed me that I could, so I chose to travel back to a Christmas when all my Grandparents would come to our house. These Christmas’s are great memories from my childhood and I would love to take my family back to meet all of them and I know they’d all love to meet Reagan Lincoln and my American wife I can only imagine what they would think of them I am sure they would love them and the feelings would be reciprocated!
The photos above are moments in time and although the faces might not look happy they were such happy times, great memories and definitely times I would love to revisit if time travel was possible.

Today was a busy day initially working from home and then out at surgeries in Warrington it was just another day but in the back of my mind was the boiler and if it will break on the coldest day of the year so far or whether we will have hot water to wash in etc but there was nothing I could do but hope it holds on until we can get it fixed or replaced, but I just work hard and money will sort the boiler so I am fine.
Reagan is suffering again with mouth ulcers which is worrying because she gets them a lot and has done for a long time now so Mommy took her to the Chemist who advised we take her to see a doctor because they are not going better or away and we have been to see the chemist before about it so we intend to get an appointment tomorrow to get her checked out.
Jamie has a cough that has hung around annoyingly and somewhat worryingly but she got blood test results that were interesting but inconclusive maybe asthma, it could be but I did notice that when we were off work over the Christmas period it went away which in my opinion suggests it could be related to her work and when she rests her voice it recovers so she is going to try a humidifier to see if that moisture improves things?
I was working at surgery in Birchwood today when a customer was taken ill which could have been a stroke because the lady became very disorientated and scared and she looked haunted when I saw her being lead to a quiet room. I have to say the staff were so caring and mindful of how scary and possibly embarrassing I was so impressed and intend to mention them tomorrow to my bosses. The ambulance arrived and I am sure she was looked after by them and I hope she is ok
There’s always someone worse off and it teaches me not to moan about myself until I take a look around at others!
Mommy was in London for her first time presenting at a LWC seminar and with two to do in a day she was understandably a bit nervous having to stand up infront of 40+ people per session and talk. The thing is she knows what she’s talking about and she can sing infront of many strangers at church so it is the unknown that she was nervous about and I told her that nerves are fine but I know there is nothing to be nervous for just go do your thing and it will be fine.
I was still painting when she arrived home and she sat watching me while she told me that her first session was very nervy shaking voice and sweaty palms but she did a really good talk and the feedback afterwards was great and the uptake was exceptional. Her second talk all the nerves had gone and she smashed as I knew she would even cracking a dick joke making the whole room laugh. She will be very busy over the coming months because LWC will realise what a diamond they have employed and will want her to shine bright for them which she will because thats what she does best
Proud of you dude!
We had a day out today in Stoke first, we went to see the couch Mommy bought while we were all isolating and got a VERY good deal in the boxing Day sales but we hadn’t actually been able to see it or sit on it until today. We were not disappointed it was lovely to look at and great to sit on even in the middle of a furniture shop! I saw the smile on Mommy’s face when we sat on it and the footstool too was an absolute bonus when we saw the size of it (and the storage it will create) along with the armchair means we won’t lose any seating space once we take delivery!
We treated the kids to Gourmet4 meal on the way back which Mommy had taken them too before and they had enjoyed but there were a couple of incidents on this visit, firstly we entered a practically empty restaurant and had to wait almost an hour for our food which really irritated all of us. When the food did arrive it was actually ok which avoided me complaining about the wait, but we probably won’t be returning because it was expensive for what they served and we could get better elsewhere with much better service!
The second incident happened during the wait….
Just had a curry and now sat watching a documentary on murder and comedy (that’s two shows not….well you know what I mean) I am addicted to TV I don’t have to think about on nights like this I just want to just sit and let the programmes wash over me and decompress from the weeks work and I now have to do this without alcohol since 56 days ago (A Whoot Whoot) I’m doing OK with it too not drinking is becoming the norm what does happen is I get reminded that this is a year long sabbatical and that does panic me sometimes and last night it was when we had steak and I just thought I can’t buy a really nice bottle of red wine to compliment a steak if I don’t drink which didn’t so much panic me as disappoint me, that’s a treat denied
Jamie is also finding not drinking on a Friday night easy…
