Had a long night last night, I was woken by a frustrated Jamie wondering what she could possibly do to get Reagan to go to sleep while our little bundle of joy was quite happy and awake and fussy which meant I took her and allowed Jamie to go to sleep which she did very quickly and ironically so did Reagan after that oh well!

I went off to work as usual I had not seen Pam by 08:50 when I left and apparently no-one else did till after 10 That jet lag can be tough…
The girls went off shopping for the day after that and came back with lots off stuff and tails of “your funny little english ways” and how “where’s your trash can” is not understood by the natives even if you ask them slowly the second time but if you show them litter and do a throwing motion it’s “Oh you mean the bin, it’s over there!”
Last night we realised we (probably me, actually) had lost our camera…Noooo! So we searched and searched and well you get the picture, unlike us 🙁 We have looked everywhere and after another extensive search today we still have no camera…. I have even emptied our wheelie trash can and believe me no-one should ever have to do that! I have suggested buying a new one because we will find our camera just after that purchase!
Tea last night was a success lamb broccoli and potato, cheese chilli garlic and coriander rossti’s which all of us ate and thoroughly enjoyed! We stayed awake till about 23:30 hoping to get rid of any remaining jet lag and I think it worked?
As I sit here writing this the girls are all upstairs getting ready to go to The Big Lock pub for dinner to celebrate me mums birthday and its a chance for Pam to meet the rest of my family. Unfortunately it’s raining (well it is Bank Holiday weekend, and usually rains) which has slightly scuppered the planned walk along to the canal to get there but still I think we’ll have a good time.
More later…

Early start for the Forster’s to go to the Airport to greet Grandma who we’d been tracking since she left DIA. We eventually got out of the house at 07:40 and set off encountering a very irate young lady on the way who seemed to be implying that I had a penis protruding from my forehead as she finally got passed our car travelling at the speed limit?

Then we got stuck in a bit of traffic which concerned us a little because the M56 can stop at that time of the morning but we needn’t have worried we were off again straight away and made the multi storey car park as Pam’s plane was due to land. Then we drove around all four levels a couple of times trying to find a space and becoming more and more stressed as time ticked by and still no space. Eventually we parked and were then stood watching the screen and waiting for her to appear through the arrivals door.
When She did appear after quite some time I began videoing, this was what I had planned to do and capture the moment as I did in at DIA in December when Jamie returned home for the first time. (See blog “The Eagle has landed”)
Greetings over and Granddaughter in grandma’s arms we returned to the car and travelled home to show her where we all live, taking a quick tour around Middlewich showing here the places she’d been reading about in these blogs and seeing in all the photo’s we send.

After making a small lunch I had to go to work and the other three agreed it would be good to have a nap before they walk into town to go to a baby drop in clinic to get Reagan weighed. I got a text later to say Reagan’s weight was 9lb 12oz, a full 1lb increase from 9 days ago and her last weigh in! Momma is doing a great job and Reagan is flourishing because of it WELL DONE! dude.
On the way home they called in at my workplace to show off Reagan and see where I actually go everyday which was nice!
Back home it was nice to have Pam as our guest and to let her see how we live and operate and hopefully we can make her feel welcome and relaxed while there! It seemed like we did (although it might have been jetlag) because she fell asleep on the sofa after tea and had gone to bed when I woke up in the chair later on.
Grandma arrives at Manchester to meet her Granddaughter for the first time!

We are watching Pam’s flights all the way! As I write this she has just landed safely in Philadelphia and is due to take off again at 01:40 gmt and arrive at 08:40 tomorrow when we will greet her in Manchester.

Reagan is oblivious and Jamie is so excited its great to watch….lol!

The House is ready but are we? Its just so exciting to think that when I write my next blog Pam will be in the kitchen behind me washing up all our dirty pots drying them and putting them away followed by cleaning the kitchen and taking out the “trash(?)”
I will obviously delete this post before she gets a chance to read it to avoid my certain and absolute death but I will laugh now while you have the chance!
Reagan ‘bo Beagan’ (as we call her) will be dressed in 100% cute mode to meet her Grandma
Just watched Sasha (our Cat) loving Jack and playing with him…Jack although interested is far too long in the tooth to be bothered but does show interest pawing at her. He will be 13 years old tomorrow and I love him, he’s ace a friend who has been by my side through thick and thin and hope tomorrow is a good day for him and that he hangs around for a few years more.

Reagan Grace 27 days old!
“Cute!”

Since Saturday we have had such great weather, we have been enjoying our selves and I haven’t blogged because of that!

Biggest thing to happen definitely is to see Reagan trying to turn on to her belly from her back, there is no technique yet but she knows that’s what needs to happen and to watch her try and learn from failure is absolutely fascinating
I have realised also just how much I love being dad, Reagan is so wonderful to have around and I do appreciate how easy Jamie makes my life but love being part of ‘Team Reagan’

As a family we are having so much fun even though Jamie and I think it hard work we also both know the reward far out weigh that….!
I woke up at 7am on Sunday morning and saw why I am so happy, and took a picture that sums it up really well (although not the best framed\composed photo I ever took) and I love it!

We also tried to get a ‘myspace’ family photo on Sunday afternoon because after all without MySpace non of this would have ever happened?

Tonight (Monday) Jamie got her Medela Swing Breast Pump I have never seen anyone happier than Jamie this evening not even children on Christmas morning. This for Jamie is life changing and also for Reagan too We have thee top of the range pump which will allow Reagan to have far more breast milk and also make Jamie’s life so much easier WORTH EVERY PENNY then!
Speaking of thee easy life they spend a lot of time outside while the sun shines and are kept shaded while the feed and relax (Pam there’s a spare seat right there for you on Thursday!)

Great Weekend
and now
I haven’t been this excited about a new arrival for… 26 days!

Wow the weather has definitely changed here, as the winds changed to how they should be the heat rose all week and today we saw temperatures reaching the mid 80’s F We all had a lie in then Reagan and I went for our morning walk into town to get a newspaper allowing Jamie time to rise and shower and drink coffee

After we got home mom & dad tidied our ransacked house? We never seemed to have time now for those last little jobs…everything is washed but its all in piles around the house and we can’t find any item of clothing we actually want all we have is that stuff we haven’t worn in ages because its still in the wardrobe where it should be!
Once it was all tidy we cleaned the place from top to bottom while Reagan slept yay Now by the time we’d finished as I said earlier it was now 80+ degrees and we were due a break so we all went for a walk.
It was hot and still is we all love the summer weather here just hope it lasts for a couple of weks so Jamie Reagan and Grandma Pam can enjoy it together

Went the DIY shop first thing this morning and purchased a “puncture repair kit” and although I was still working sat at work and repaired the three holes in the tube and took it home at lunch dead dead proud that I had finally got us back on the road. I fitted the newly fixed tube and pumped the tyre up in the hot mid day sun 🙂 it went flat straight away 🙁
I went back to work deflated (chortle) and pissed off. When I returned the first thing I did was look at the tube and low and behold two more holes I fixed them and inspected the tyre and found another thorn in it that I didn’t see previously damn! I am pleased to say the tyre is now fixed….for now!
Great statement from Jamie today “This is the first time I’ve driven in England, not pregnant!” I wasn’t sure whether that was because she had been driving not long or that she’d been pregnant for soooo long lol
Great observation from Jamie today “I’ve noticed she’s happy enough sitting in her own shit, but won’t sit for a second in a wet nappy!” hummmm?
We went to the fair tonight a new experience for Jamie living in Middlewich and she said it smells the same but its smaller and back home they sell alcohol!

We are sat here watching Reagan sleep right now and are beginning to realise how precious quiet is, because Reagan is so good when she is noisey we both struggle to know what to do when she won’t stop crying? We figured it out tonight it was a wet nappy and a bit hungry still and now Jamie has nodded off and Im sat blogging Reagan has a wry smile on her face as she dreams of her next feed…!

Sorry Reagan but this cracked mommy & daddy up last night!
Please notice both Reagan’s big toes poking through the cover. LOL

“too close Dad, move away slightly & make me look cute not retarded Jeez!”

Heart Patterned overload, “Mom this is too much!”
(but hey look at the lining on that Jacket!”)

This is what I leave every morning when I go to work 🙁

Ok the big plan today was to put right what I got wrong last night, I wanted to come home and take Reagan on a long walk in the warm evening and allow Jamie to re-charge so when I arrived home I had a quick shower and got Reagan changed and in the pram and we were just about to go when I noticed the lefthand rear tyre!

It was too late to buy a puncture repair kit so I rang around a few mates who might have one but no-one had one nor me mum or her next door neighbour it seemed we were in the midle of the great puncture repair kit shortage of 2010 So our walk was scuppered but we did get away in the car so Jamie got her mommy time.
It was all a bit disappointing for me as I was really looking forward to our walk…!
