Lincoln has REALLY bad nappy rash today and it has been getting worse for a couple a days now but when Jamie changed his nappy at dinnertime he was bleeding a little bit from the rash 🙁 We were right next door to the doctors so Jamie went to see the doctor to find out whats going on.

We couldn’t believe the reason was Weetabix? (Weetabix is a breakfast cereal) Apparently its a common side effect when you give a small child like Lincoln weetabix that they get really bad nappy rash which we just didn’t know or we would not have given it to him!

Anyway we have now changed to Readybrek and lathered on the Soodycred and he should be right as ninepence in a couple of days

…..who’d ave thunk aye?

When you dream of of having children you only see healthy one’s it really doesn’t matter what they look like but if you’re lucky like we are you get this!

Reagan is growing up so fast and everyday something new that she does just blows you away and make you realise that if you blink you miss her growing up. The following photo was taken at one of the many groups mommy takes both kids to and Reagan had decided she needed to be alone to concentrate on her picture

Mommy sent me the following photo’s late in the afternoon when she went up to get Reagan and Lincoln from their nap only to find that after 2 hours BOTH were still asleep and the question was “Should I wake them?”

Now mommy does deserve a siesta during the day but unfortunately if they sleep too long they won’t sleep at night so the answer was yes you have to wake them. We did think though that it is so good to be able to put both of them down in bed at the same time and for mommy to be able to regroup half way through the day! Something only a few weeks ago we thought impossible

With the weather getting better, although still quite cool, we all spent a couple of hours in the garden tidying it up for the new season. It was really nice to spend time as a family together ‘pottering’ which I always find gets more done and I especially felt good because Reagan was helping me hang trellis handing me tools when I needed them.

We just got back from Winsford where we took the kids swimming, it was the first time in months Reagan had been and the first time ever that Lincoln had been. At first we thought it was going to be a disaster when we slid Lincoln into his float and he didn’t look best pleased to say the very least, but some encouragement and he was smiling again kicking his feet and splashing a little himself.

Reagan on the other hand showed no hesitation trotting into the pool in awe of all the water and fearless of any dangers, just let me at it. She was straight in to the water and although could not swim a stroke wanted to be let go of, which of coarse we didn’t but all afternoon she was trying to push us away? It waqs interesting to note that even when we did let her go and she immediately sank, when you grabbed her agian and she coughed the water away she was not phased by it and continued to push us away enjoying every minute

All in all a successful trip but we need to get arm bands and other float aids before we go again because Reagan needs them desperately and maybe a couple of floating toys for Lincoln?
