Big News

We have booked up to go to America in June and July which is pretty exciting and gives us a big date to look forward to, and my mum has also booked to come too. The trip will be Jamie’s going home trip, my summer holiday, Reagan and Lincoln’s big adventure and me mums first trip to the states.

Jamie is already planning the whole thing and looks like we will spend a couple of night in Chicago and stay with Troy Angie Joe Sydney and Ella and then on to Denver for a couple of weeks to stay with Pam Cliff and Nemily. I know Jamie is the most excited, but me mum is up there as well being a CSI (in any form) and I know how she will be when she arrives in America and the things she’ll be looking for, like steam coming out of grids, yellow buses and back alleys with cardboard boxes to crash cars through lol I just know what my image I had before stepping foot in the country and it was all created by cop shows on tv

I am super excited because its a summer holiday and if I’m honest I just want to laze around in the sun for a couple of weeks with Jamie’s family my family and all “our” (I hope I can say that?) friends that we hope to see while we’re there. Also can’t wait to go to Wyoming and see the places Jamie talks so affectionately about so often and get another ‘state’ sign to stand by lol

Well I think its big news and we’re counting the days and today we’re 134 days away 🙂

Similar cenario

When I arrived home from work this evening the situation was much the same with Mommy cooking tea while the two children found things to do but I was able to cope slightly better tonight even though I was very close to exploding a couple of times.

I used the time out method on both children because if I hadn’t I would have definitely spent the night shouting. They responded a bit better to my stern words but it took me screaming in their faces last night to get to that point. They are in bed now and I feel such a relief to get them there without having a heart attack.

A lot going on

I took this photo this morning and was amazed just how much was going on in it Apart from the obvious Lincoln in his sisters hat having just said the word “hat” and smiling because a camera has been pointed at him, there is also the destruction that is our pre 9am Sunday morning.

Telling time…

Well, my mom had a great idea to include Reagan and get her telling time:) so I said ‘right, dinner will be done in 20 minutes when the big black hand reaches the 2’ and this was what happened!

Cute rating = High

When I walked through the door last night after work I barely had time to take my coat off when I was greeted by Reagan holding Lincoln’s hand…

“Daddy hold my hand let’s play Pocket full of posies!”

How could I resist? We then go into the living room to sing the song “Ring a Ring o’ Roses” over and over allowing both of them to “ALL FALL DOWN” in fits of laughter.
