Ok so to recap “when the sun comes up you both creep into our bedroom and quietly wake me and we will go down stairs and make Mommy breakfast and then we will go back upstairs with presents and breakfast to wake Mommy and sing happy birthday” which sounded like a simple plan.

We woke Mommy with a card and a present, her favourite perfume, wine and chocolate. We also wished her a happy birthday and Lincoln continued to excitedly wish her a happy birthday over and over again.

He absolutely thoroughly enjoyed his birthday and smiled the whole day but as I watch him climbing the stairs to slide down the slide yet again I could see he was tiring but I could also see he was not going to give in without a fight and continued to slide run build climb and play with that big smile on his face.
